DERBY LINE — A 25-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested in Derby Line yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified by US Customs and Border Protection that a man who crossed into the United States from Canada was found to be in criminal possession of cocaine and a controlled depressant drug.
The offender was identified as Andy Alves Choez, of Quincy, MA.
Choez was taken into custody for the offense.
He was transported to the Derby barracks where he was processed and later lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility.
He was cited in court today for the charges of possession of cocaine and possession of a depressant drug.
