GILFORD — A man was fatally shot by police inside a Gilford, New Hampshire residence after they responded to a report of a man threatening himself and others with a knife.
The incident took place at a home on Varney Point Road at around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
According to reports, one police officer discharged a taser and a second officer fired a gun inside the home.
Police say the man died at the scene.
Authorities say the identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The names of the officers involved in the incident are being withheld until they are interviewed.
