Man uses rock to break into Vergennes Maplefields

VERGENNES —Local police are looking to identify an individual involved in a break-in at the Maplefields in Vergennes.

The incident took place at around 11:50 p.m. on January 1.

The suspect walked to the store carrying a rock which he used to break the front door.

The individual is described as a young white male with brown hair, wearing gray slippers, black socks, black/grey plaid fleece pajama pants, and a black jacket.

He was also wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt which was used to conceal his face.

The suspect wearing a dark-colored bracelet on his left wrist, police say.
