TUXEDO — A 36-year-old woman from Albany was arrested for DUI in Tuxedo early Friday morning.
Authorities say they were notified of a disabled vehicle on I-87 with a flat tire at around 3:20 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, Karen Bermejo, was found to be intoxicated.
She was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.24%.
She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and vehicle and traffic violations.
Bermejo was released to a sober third party with an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Tuxedo Court on January 11.
