NORTHFIELD — A 22-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested in Northfield last week.
On December 16, authorities were notified of an ongoing domestic assault that occurred in the Falls area.
Berlin Police and VSP Berlin assisted.
Police say they spoke with Dazon Williams, of Springfield, who denied any wrongdoing.
The victim stated that Williams had strangled the victim until the point that the victim could not breathe, and the night prior, had stabbed the victim with a sharp metal broom handle.
The victim told police that Williams punched the victim all the time and had also put the victim through the door the prior night.
Williams was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and interfering with access to emergency services, all while children were present.
He was held without bail through the weekend.
