ESSEX — Police are investigating the crash that occurred in Chittenden County on Tuesday.
Essex Junction Fire was dispatched to Colchester Road, at the Essex Town and Colchester Town line, for a motor vehicle crash.
A head-on crash between a pickup truck and a tractor trailer took place at around 3:40 p.m.
Emergency responders worked to extricate the driver from the pickup truck.
Due to extensive clean-up, the Colchester Fire Department was also called to assist.
They worked to contain and clean up the diesel leak from the fuel tanks of the tractor trailer unit.
They were on scene for about an hour and a half.
Police say they have no update on the condition of one driver who needed assistance.
The Essex Police Department is investigating the crash.
