NEWPORT CENTER — A 26-year-old man from Charleston was arrested following an incident that took place last month in Newport Center.
On November 22, authorities were notified of a burglary that occurred on Vermont Route 105 at around 10:40 a.m.
Police say that the accused, identified as Dustin Sheltra, entered a garage with the intent to steal a motorcycle.
Sheltra was interrupted by Joshua Lanphear’s security system and left before police arrived.
As a result, an application was made for a warrant for Sheltra’s arrest.
On Sunday, he was arrested by Newport Police officers and arraigned on the offense.
