BURLINGTON — Police are continuing to investigate after a man was stabbed in Burlington on Sunday.
Authorities were notified of a disturbance and assault at Piesanos restaurant on Main Street at around 3:10 a.m.
Police say they found a man seriously injured and bleeding heavily from apparent stab wounds.
Officers gave preliminary medical care and were relieved by Burlington Fire Department personnel, who transported him to the hospital.
The victim was declared dead at the hospital, police say.
The BPD is working to identify suspects, but no suspects are currently in custody.
Police say the incident did not involve gunfire.
This is the fifth murder of 2022 in Burlington.
