JERICHO — A 59-year-old man was arrested for his second DUI in Jericho yesterday.
Authorities were notified of a car that had gone off the roadway on Nashville Road at around 5:05 p.m.
Police say they were also notified by callers that the driver of the vehicle appeared intoxicated and had left the area on foot.
Police located the male driver walking along Nashville Road and identified him as Michael Woods, of Jericho.
They observed indicators of impairment and conducted a roadside investigation, at the conclusion of which Woods was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to the Williston barracks for processing.
He was released into the custody of a sober adult with a criminal citation to appear in court at a later date and time to answer to the charge.
