CABOT — A 20-year-old man from Canada was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Cabot on Friday.
Authorities were notified of a single-vehicle crash on US-2 near the Danville town line at around 10:40 p.m.
Police say they made contact with the driver, Jacob Carter, of Ontario.
According to the report, Carter was traveling east on US-2 when he drove over black ice, causing him to lose control of his 2007 Ford Ranger.
He crossed into the opposing lane and struck a nearby guardrail before.
Carter was uninjured, however, his vehicle was totaled.
State police were assisted by the Marshfield Fire Department, Cabot Fire Department, Walden Fire Department, Caledonia Wrecker Service, and off-duty firefighter Matthew Hendry.
