NEWFANE — A 56-year-old man has died after a fire broke out in Newfane last week.
On November 18, authorities were notified of an explosion of a home on Vermont 30 at around 1:00 a.m.
A deceased man was located in the burnt debris, police say.
Fire crews and investigators remained on the scene for several hours.
With the assistance of the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, the deceased victim in the case has been identified as Russell A. Buzby, of Newfane.
Police are still investigating the cause and manner of death is still under investigation.
