NEWFANE — A fatal fire broke out in Newfane early this morning.
Authorities were notified of an explosion at a home on Vermont Route 30 at around 1:00 a.m.
Following an investigation, police say a deceased man was located at this location in the burnt debris.
The home itself was a total loss.
Fire crews and investigators have remained on the scene for several hours.
Police say the deceased man’s body will be examined by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
