Stamford man facing attempted murder charges

STAMFORD — A 24-year-old man was arrested in Stamford early this morning.

Police say they are investigating an altercation and a stabbing that occurred at a home on Jepson Road at around 12:35 a.m.

The victim, a 52-year-old man who also resided in the house, was hospitalized.

He is in critical but stable condition.

Benjamin Taylor, of Stamford, was arrested on charges of attempted murder and first-degree aggravated domestic assault.

He is being processed at the Shaftsbury barracks and is expected to be arraigned at 1 p.m. today in court in Bennington.

The state police crime scene search team will be at the house today to process the scene.
