MONTPELIER — A 33-year-old man will face multiple charges following an incident in Montpelier.
Authorities say they were notified of an individual who was exhibiting stalking behaviors by following the victim to various locations in their vehicle and showing up at the victim’s home at around 4:00 p.m.
The involved party also exhibited violent and tumultuous behavior in a public area in an attempt to intimidate the victim, made direct threats to harm them, and assaulted an acquaintance of the victim, causing significant injury.
Police say a man from Montpelier was arrested for stalking, disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, and aggravated assault and was arrested.
Police have not released the name of the suspect, and due to the nature of the incident, Washington County Mental Health was involved.
