Bennington County break-ins linked to organized multi-state crime spree

MANCHESTER — Police say they are investigating multiple vehicle break-ins in Manchester.

Many of the incidents occurred during broad daylight hours and in recreational areas.

Investigators say these incidents are part of a larger organized crime spree across upstate New York and southern Vermont.

Police asked the public to be extra vigilant in areas such as sporting events, recreational parks, and hiking trails.
