Two charged in connection to several burglaries in Orange County

TOPSHAM — Two people were arrested following an investigation in Topsham.

On October 13, authorities say they were notified of a burglary on Ben Dexter Road.

Multiple firearms and ammunition were stolen from inside and a door was broken in order to gain access to the residence.

On October 16, authorities say they were notified of another burglary on Galusha Hill Road.

Troopers responded to the home and found multiple firearms, and multiple power tools and machinery stolen.

On October 17, police say they responded to a home on Vermont Route 113 in West Fairlee for a follow-up on this investigation.

While at the scene, Isaiah Taylor, 26, of Topsham, was located inside a vehicle at the home with an outstanding arrest warrant.

Troopers and Bradford Police observed the stolen items inside the vehicle Taylor was in, which was seized pending a search warrant.

Taylor was transported to Orange County Court for the outstanding warrant.

He was also issued a citation for his involvement in the burglaries, larceny, and for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

Police say they found probable cause for a search warrant at the address on Vermont Route 113 in West Fairlee, and a search warrant was executed on the evening of October 17.

More of the stolen property was located.

On October 25, police say they executed a search warrant on the seized vehicle and located stolen property, which included firearms.

Through the course of the investigation, probable cause was also found to charge Jesse Pease, 41, of West Fairlee, with burglary, grand larceny, and unlawful mischief in connection to both burglary locations.

Pease was arraigned in Orange County Court on November 2.

Police say the case remains active and more charges are expected.
