SHELDON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Sheldon yesterday.
The crash took place near the intersection of Vermont Route 105 and Woods Hill Road at around 5:30 p.m.
According to the report, Mary Sylvester, 58, of Berkshire, was traveling east on Vermont Route 105 at around 45 miles-per-hour prior to the crash.
Police say that Robbin Greene, 61, of Sheldon, was stopped at the intersection of Vermont Route 105 and Woods Hill Road waiting to make a left turn.
While Greene was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass, she was impacted in the rear by Sylvester.
Sylvester attempted to avoid Greene but was unsuccessful, police say.
Police say Greene sustained minor injuries and was brought to Northwestern Medical Center.
A passenger in Sylvester’s vehicle sustained serious injuries during the crash and has been transported to UVM Medical Center for further treatment.
The passenger is currently in critical condition.
