Two injured during crash in Cornwall

CORNWALL — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Cornwall yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 125 at around 1:30 p.m.

One of the drivers was identified as Elizabeth Sugg, 64, of Nyack, NY.

According to the report, Sugg was traveling south on James Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign before entering Vermont Route 125 at around 30 miles-per-hour.

Police say Sugg hit Patricia Bezanson, 68, of Middlebury, who was traveling west at around 40 miles-per-hour.

Both drivers were transported to Porter Medical Center for injuries.

State Police were assisted on scene by members of Middlebury Rescue and the Cornwall Fire Department.
