TOWNSHEND — Police are investigating a report that money may have been embezzled from a local school.
Authorities say they were notified of the alleged embezzlement of funds by a member of PTO at the Townshend Elementary School.
Police say they are currently investigating, and more information will be released when the investigation has concluded.
The school’s PTA Facebook group alleges that the former treasurer of the club had been stealing the funds for the past two years.
