Police: Driver picked up for DUI #2 in Winooski

WINOOSKI — A 27-year-old man from Colchester was arrested for his second DUI following an incident in Winooski early this morning.

Authorities say they were notified of a traffic stop after observing several lane violations on I-89 north at around 1:50 a.m.

The driver was identified as Reed Messner.

While speaking with Messner, police say they observed several indicators of alcohol impairment.

He was arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, Messner was released with a citation to appear in court on November 8 to answer the charge of DUI #2 criminal refusal.
