WASHINGTON — Authorities responded to a structure fire that broke out in Washington yesterday.
The incident took place on Keene Road at around 6:45 a.m.
Police say first arriving units encountered a two-story wood frame single family residential home with heavy fire throughout the entire building.
A defensive attack was immediately established until more manpower and mutual aid arrived on scene to assist.
Barre, Barre City, Williamstown, and Chelsea Fire Departments arrived, along with First Branch Rescue
Unfortunately, the structure was a total loss, police say.
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department thanked their mutual aid partners for assistance and for providing water supply.
