Woman charged after clocked doing 90 mph through work zone in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A 22-year-old woman from Connecticut will face charges following an incident in Westminster yesterday.

Police say they arrested Julia Ha Alicandro Cagnetta after observing the vehicle she was operating traveling at 90 miles-per-hour in the posted 55 miles-per-hour work zone.

The incident took place at around 3:20 p.m.

Cagnetta was released on a citation to appear in court at a later date for the charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and excessive speed.

She was also issued a traffic ticket for a civil speeding violation.
