WESTMINSTER — A 52-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Westminster earlier this month.
During the week of October 3rd, the Windham County Sheriff’s Office say they received complaints of break-ins in the area of Bemis Hill Road.
Various items were reported stolen from buildings and residences.
On October 27, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff’s Office traveled to Bemis Hill Road in an attempt to locate a wanted fugitive with an arrest warrant out of New York and New Hampshire.
Police say they conducted a traffic stop where the suspect, Reginald Kelley, of Westminster, was found to be a passenger.
He was arrested on his outstanding arrest warrants.
Police say a consent search of his camping area was also conducted, and several stolen items were located.
Kelley was charged as a fugitive from justice as well as receiving/possessing the stolen property.
He was ordered held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond for the fugitive charge and $500 cash or surety on the stolen property charges.
He was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
