Several injured during crash in Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Mount Holly yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 103, near Sawyer Hill Road, at around 5:10 p.m.

According to the report, Daphne Wells, 41, of Burlington, was traveling north on Vermont Route 103, and Edward Clement, 77, of Thompson, CT, was in the parking lot of Harry’s Cafe prior to the crash.

According to witnesses, Clement attempted to turn left onto Vermont Route 103 but failed to yield for Wells.

Several people were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries, police say.

State police were assisted on the scene by Regional Ambulance Service, Mount Holly Fire and EMS, and Ludlow Ambulance Services.
