Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department welcomes K9 Edo

HYDE PARK — The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department recently introduced its newest member, K9 Edo.

Edo comes from Highland K9, a training facility in North Carolina.

He is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois and will be working with handler Deputy Costa.

Deputy Costa and K9 Edo recently completed training in North Carolina where they picked up several certifications.

These include certifications in narcotic detection, article recovery, trailing, and patrol work including handler protection and criminal apprehension.

The Sheriff’s Department said they are excited about the return of a K9 to their team.
