BARRE — Four people will face charges following a shooting incident that occurred in Barre last month.
The incident took place on Brook Street on September 5, causing damage to a home and a parked vehicle.
After a lengthy investigation, four men have been charged as youthful offenders in the incident.
An 18-year-old Barre resident has been charged with reckless endangerment, unlawful mischief, obstruction of justice, false information to police, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and two counts of violation of conditions of release.
A 19-year-old Essex resident has been charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful mischief.
Police say two 17-year-olds, one from Barre, and one from Roxbury, have also been charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful mischief.
All four have been cited to appear in court in early November to answer the charges.
The Barre City Police Department does not release the identity of suspects or defendants in an incident in which the juvenile court has jurisdiction.
