Two arrested in connection to fatal ATV crash in Sheffield

SHEFFIELD — Two people are facing charges following a fatal ATV crash that took place in Sheffield last month.

The crash occurred on Sept. 22  on Blake Pond Road where 19-year-old Samantha Henderson, of Lyndon, was declared dead after life-saving attempts were made.

The ATV involved in the crash was determined to be stolen from Roadside Motorsports in Williston.

Police conducted a search warrant yesterday looking for the suspects identified earlier as David Lauderbach, 38, of Williston, and Christopher DeGreenia, 33, of Sheffield.

They were accused of stealing the vehicles involved in the crash.

Lauderbach had an active arrest warrant for possession of the stolen property, operation without the owner’s consent, and leaving the scene of an accident with death resulting.

DeGreenia had an active arrest warrant for possession of stolen property.

Both were placed under arrest and lodged at Northwest Correctional Facility St. Albans.
