Driver charged with excessive speeding in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE — A 25-year-old man from Richford was cited for excessive speeding through Cambridge yesterday.

Police say they observed a vehicle traveling east on Vermont Route 15 at a high rate of speed at around 10:20 p.m.

The target vehicle was captured on radar traveling 85 miles-per-hour in an area of highway posted at 50 miles-per-hour.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop and the driver was identified as Kenyon Jacobs-Martin.

Jacobs-Martin was issued a criminal citation to appear in court to answer the charge.

He was also given a speeding ticket for traveling 35 miles-per-hour above the posted speed limit which carries a waiver amount of $530.
