Driver hits bear on I-89 in Georgia

GEORGIA — A 41-year-old man from Quebec was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Georgia on Monday.

Police say they were notified that a vehicle hit a bear on I-89 north at around 11:00 p.m.

The driver, Maxime Desourdy, was unable to avoid hitting the bear while approaching the overpass.

Desourdy’s vehicle sustained damage to the front driver’s side, but no injuries were reported.

The bear was deceased.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Townline Auto.
