DERBY — A 58-year-old man from Canaan was arrested following a crash in Derby on Sunday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on I-91 at around 5:10 p.m.
The driver was identified as Dale Brooks.
Police say that Brooks was traveling north when he hit a guardrail off to the left side of the road.
Following an investigation, police allege that Brooks was impaired while operating the vehicle and also required an ignition interlock device while operating a motor vehicle.
He was arrested and transported back to the Derby barracks for processing.
At the completion of processing, Brooks began to report having pain and was transported to North Country Hospital.
He is charged with DUI #2.
