MILTON — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash in Milton yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a wrong-way driver on I-89 north at around 10:50 p.m.
The vehicle crashed near mile marker 101.
Multiple vehicles were seen off the road, one on fire with an unconscious driver trapped inside.
Police say the entrapped driver was removed from the burning vehicle.
All occupants were transported from the scene to the UVM medical center.
The interstate was shut down north of exit 17 for approximately three hours while the scene was processed.
Troopers were assisted by Milton Fire Department, AOT, and numerous EMS agencies.
Police are still investigating this incident.
