BARTON — Greater Barton Arts recently announced its 2nd Annual Barton Art Weekend on September 24 and 25.
The weekend will feature a student art show, Plein Air “Paint Out“ competition, live music, art activities for children, spaghetti supper on Saturday night, ticket raffle, bake sale, and more.
Most activities will be at the Arts Center located at 396 Main Street.
Saturday’s schedule will start with 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. registration of $15 for the Plein Air “Paint Out” in Barton Village and environs.
Participants will be given a box lunch, directions to beautiful nearby sites such as Crystal Lake, its falls, the Congregational Church, Village Green, etc., and a chance to win $100 when judged for the “Artists’ Choice” and “People’s Choice” awards.
Paintings will be “wet hung” at 3, with awards and reception from 4 to 6 p.m.
Paintings will be available for sale.
