ARLINGTON — A 43-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested for DUI following a crash in Arlington yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Vermont Route 313, near the intersection of Covered Bridge Road, at around 5:30 p.m.
According to the report, Shaun Parker, of Sutton, Massachusetts, was traveling east prior to the crash.
The vehicle veered outside the travel portion of the road and came to a position of rest in the eastbound embankment.
While on the scene, police allege Parker showed several indicators of impairment and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for further processing.
After processing, he was released to a sober adult with a citation to answer the above charge at a later date and time.
State Police were assisted by Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Rescue Squad, and Paul’s Towing Service.
