BURLINGTON — Police in Burlington say a 32-year-old man was shot in the head in City Hall Park early this morning.

Police Chief Jon Murad said in a media release that this case is currently a murder investigation.
The suspect has not yet been identified or apprehended.
The shooting took place at about 12:42 a.m. on Sunday.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
The Burlington Police Department is being assisted by the Vermont State Police, and several other local agencies.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
