Police: Drunk woman arrested after crash in Lyndon

LYNDON — A 25-year-old woman from Arizona was arrested in Lyndon yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of an intoxicated woman walking around causing a disturbance in the area of Main Street at around 11:15 p.m.

Prior to police arrival, the woman drove off in a vehicle going north on Main Street and hit a vehicle with 5 occupants after driving through a red light.

Police say the vehicle continued to drive north on Route 5 after it crashed.

Police located the vehicle rolled over, approximately half a mile north of the initial crash.

The driver, identified as Yulisa Gonzalez, appeared extremely intoxicated and was arrested for suspicion of DUI, negligent operation, leaving the scene of a crash, and disorderly conduct.

After further processing, Gonzalez was charged with DUI and was held at the Northeast Regional Correctional Complex until sober.

Police say nobody was injured during this incident.
