Guilford man held without bail after assault

GUILFORD — A 64-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Guilford yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of an alleged assault at around 5:20 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Richard K. Holcomb, of Guilford, had assaulted two juveniles who shared a residence with him.

Police say one was hit with a metal pipe and the other was strangled.

Holcomb was placed under arrest and transported to the State Police Westminster barracks for processing.

He faces charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and criminal threatening.

He was held without bail and was issued in hand a criminal citation to appear in court on August 29.
