McDonald’s in Springfield burglarized

SPRINGFIELD — Police are still investigating a burglary that took place in Springfield last month.

On July 5, authorities say they were notified of an alarm at the McDonald’s restaurant on Chester Road at around 3:40 a.m.

Troopers arrived at the scene and found that the restaurant had been burglarized.

Police say there was forced entry made into the establishment and several items were confirmed to be missing.

Surveillance footage later provided to the state police showed a single individual inside the establishment.
