Man charged with DUI #2 after caught driving lawnmower intoxicated in Brownington

BROWNINGTON — A 61-year-old man was arrested for his second DUI after driving a lawnmower while intoxicated in Brownington yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of an older man, who appeared to be intoxicated, operating the lawnmower on Vermont Route 5A at around 7:40 p.m.

Police located the driver and identified him as Kirk Wilcox, of Brownington.

Following an investigation, police say they found Wilcox to be impaired.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was transported to the State Police Derby barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in court to answer the charge of DUI #2.
