Man arrested for trying to sell stolen motorcycle in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD — A 42-year-old man from Rutland City was arrested following an incident in Wallingford on Wednesday.

Authorities say they were notified of a man selling a stolen motorcycle on Meadow Street at around 9:10 p.m.

Police allege that Timothy Shaw was in possession of a motorcycle that he stole from Rutland City.

Upon his arrest, Shaw was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

He was transported to the Rutland barracks for processing and cited into Rutland Superior Court Criminal Division on August 18 for the charges of grand larceny, aggravated operation without owner’s consent, and possession of a controlled substance.

Shaw was lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility for outstanding in-state warrants.

The warrants were for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, false information to a law enforcement officer, and driving with a suspended license.
