POWNAL — A 31-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Pownal yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a domestic assault that occurred at a home on US Route 7 at around 8:00 a.m.
Police say that Andrew Crawford, of Pownal, assaulted a household member on different occasions from Saturday through yesterday.
It was also learned that on one occasion Crawford threw the victim’s cell phone which prevented them from contacting emergency services.
Police say Crawford was located and arrested without incident.
He was issued conditions of release and is scheduled to appear in court today to answer to the charges of domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services.
