MARLBORO — A 52-year-old woman died in a fire that broke out in Marlboro on Sunday.
Authorities were notified of a structure fire on Augur Hill Road at around 9:30 p.m.
The single-family home was engulfed in flames and the homeowner was trapped inside.
Police identified the victim as Beverly Covey, of Marlboro.
A family member attempted to remove the Covey but was unable to, police say.
The origin of the fire was determined to be in the living of the home where the victim was located.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but foul play is not believed to be the cause.
