EDEN — A 75-year-old man was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Eden yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a crash involving a passenger car and an ATV on Vermont Route 100, near North Road, at around 5:20 p.m.
according to the report, Anthony Acorace, 56, of North Troy, was traveling north on Vermont Route 100 in a 2009 Hyundai Accent when Lewis Jones, of Eden, pulled out of a home onto Vermont Route 100 operating a 2011 Honda Foreman.
Police say Acorace attempted to swerve into the opposite lane to avoid the collision.
Jones succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Vermont Route 100 was closed north of the North Road intersection for around 3.5 hours.
