BROOKFIELD — A woman from White River Junction was injured during a single-vehicle crash in Brookfield yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle on fire on I-89 at around 3:05 p.m.
According to the report, Cheryl Fish was traveling south when she hit a deer.
Fish was able to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop along the breakdown lane.
Police say she exited the vehicle, which became fully engulfed shortly afterward.
Only minor injuries were sustained.
The road was temporarily closed while crews worked the scene.
