CAMBRIDGE — A 20-year-old woman from Williston was cited following a crash in Cambridge on Saturday.

Authorities say they were notified of a single-vehicle crash into a ditch at the intersection of Vermont Route 104, and Vermont Route 15, at around 11:00 p.m.

Troopers arrived on the scene and located an unoccupied white 2012 Nissan Altima with significant damage to the front and rear of the vehicle with airbag deployment.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling east on Vermont Route 104 when it failed to stop at the stop sign at Vermont Route 15, traveling through the intersection and crashing into standing road signs.

Police allege that Avery Brooks was operating the vehicle at the time and had left the scene after the crash.

Brooks was issued a citation to appear in court on September 14 to answer the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
