ORWELL — A 48-year-old man is being held without bail following an incident in Orwell on Sunday.
Authorities say they were notified of a domestic assault involving a firearm at a home at around 5:40 p.m.
According to the report, a firearm was fired in the direction of the victim, reportedly striking a vehicle operated by the victim.
The victim fled the home without being hit.
Detectives and troopers drafted a search warrant for the home that was executed in an attempt to obtain further evidence in the investigation.
Shortly after the incident, the suspect, identified as Ronald Real, of Orwell, was located and taken into custody without incident.
Police say Real was ordered to be held without bail and lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.
