The crash took place in the area of North Road at around 9:50 p.m.
Troopers, along with Hinesburg Fire and Rescue, Richmond Rescue, and the Williston Fire Department arrived on the scene and located a man with a significant leg injury.
According to the report, Billy Bennet, 43, of Hinesburg, was traveling north on North Road in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that became disabled partially on the road.
BJ Bennett, 20, of Hinesburg, was operating a 1995 Toyota Tacoma which was parked close to the Jeep, facing south into oncoming traffic using his headlights to illuminate the front of the Jeep.
Both men were between the two vehicles attempting to repair the Jeep.
