BURLINGTON — Police continue to investigate after a man was shot dead in Burlington on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Hussein Mubarak, 21, of Burlington.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages.
The Burlington Police Department says they have no reason to believe there is a threat to the general public.
According to the initial reports, the suspect may have fled north into the wooded area of the Intervale.
An exhaustive search using multiple officers, K9s, and a VSP drone in the heavily wooded area did not yield any results for the suspect.
