Two were arrested for DUI after ATV crash in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD — Two people were arrested for DUI following an ATV crash in Brookfield yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a crash on Old Post Road at around 9:20 p.m.

The injured ATV driver, identified as Devon Beane, 26, of Bethel, was treated for his injuries and transported by ambulance to Gifford Hospital.

During the crash investigation another ATV driver, Christopher Walker, 36, of Randolph, was identified and found to be operating an ATV under the influence of alcohol.

Walker was placed in custody for DUI and transported to the Royalton State Police barracks for processing.

Walker was released on a citation for DUI to appear in court on July 20.

Police say that Beane was also under the influence of alcohol.

Beane was given a citation for DUI to appear in court on September 14.
