BARTON — A 36-year-old man from Derby was killed during a motorcycle crash in Barton on Sunday.
Authorities were alerted that two vehicles were fully engulfed in flames on Vermont Route 58 at around 11:50 a.m.
According to Trooper Berlandy, Tanner Flynn, 32, of Irasburg, was driving east when he crossed left of center around a right-hand corner and struck Eric Fillmore, 36, of Derby, who was traveling west.
Fillmore succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The road near the collision was closed for around four hours.
Orleans Fire Department and Orleans EMS responded to the scene to assist state police.
The crash investigation is ongoing, police say.
