Man high on meth enters Bristol homes, swings bat and pickaxe at residents

BRISTOL — A 22-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested for aggravated assault and felony unlawful trespass following a bizarre incident in Bristol yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a disturbance on Carterville Road at around 2:25 a.m.

Police allege that Isaac Crawford, of Keene, NH, was high on methamphetamine when he entered two occupied residences.

The residences belonged to two people who were asleep at the time and did not know Crawford.

Police say Crawford then unsuccessfully swung a baseball bat and a pickaxe at another individual who came out of his residence to assist.

He was placed under arrest and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.

He was transported to the Northwest Regional Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Bristol Rescue Squad and Middlebury Regional EMS for precautionary evaluations.
